Single mother Elaine is disturbed by her son Martin's aggressive behaviour, she visits his late father's estranged family in small-town Luxembourg, which hides a much darker nature. When she realizes that Martin could become like them, Elaine is forced into a desperate fight for her son's future.
Martijn visits, after several years without contact, his sister Daantje. Daantje, just started to live on her own in Amsterdam. He tells her he is going to make a documentary from Daantje's live. Martijn enters her live with a videocamera. This creates a tension between Daantje and her brother, because he want to recall something which happend between them in the past. To keep Martijn at a distance Daantje starts a relation with Ramon. Then Martijn gets between them. He manage to talk her over to remember and talk over the things happend when they were kids. This helps him to overcome his obsession for his sister and after playing over the history he finally is able to see her without the videocamera like he did during the whole movie.
